Your Intuition Isn’t Just for the Big Stuff
Because your soul is speaking through the small stuff too.
We’ve been taught to think of intuition as something mystical, something that only activates when we’re standing at a crossroads, deciding between quitting the job, ending the relationship, having another baby, or moving across the country.
But intuition isn’t just for the big, dramatic moments.
It’s there when you open the fridge and feel a quiet no toward the bag of spinach that smells a little funky. It’s there when your body tenses after reading a text or an email from someone you don’t like to hear from. It’s there when someone smiles at you, but something in you pulls back, even if you don’t know why because your gut is telling you to keep your distance.
Intuition is always speaking.
The question is though, have you created enough space to listen?
Intuition always lives in the quiet places.
It’s in your skin, your stomach, your heartbeat.
It’s in the moment you say “I’m tired” out loud… and realize you’ve been pushing through for weeks. It’s in the friend you adore, but always feel drained around because they are a little bit of an energy vampire.
It’s in the full-body yes you feel when you step outside just before it rains.
We tend to ignore these subtleties because they don’t always come with a “why.” But intuition doesn’t owe you a reason. It just asks for your trust.
There have been many times throughout my life that my intuition has literally saved my life in split second moments. I had a near-miss with two cars about two months ago, my intuition took the wheel and I slammed my foot on the breaks to avoid a crash.
Building your intuitive muscle isn’t about big breakthroughs.
It’s about the everyday moments of discernment:
What to eat
When to rest
Who feels safe
What conversation doesn’t sit right
What room you suddenly want to leave
What post you don’t want to finish reading (hopefully not this one).
These tiny micro-decisions build the relationship with your inner knowing so that when a bigger decision comes along, your trust is already there. You see how this works?
A simple practice to tune in:
When you feel uncertain—pause and ask:
“Does this nourish me?”
“Or does this drain me?”
You’ll feel it, usually in your gut.
Sometimes it’s not in your head, but in your nervous system. In the way your breath slows… or speeds up. In the way your energy expands… or contracts.
Intuition isn’t loud.It doesn’t demand. It gently invites like a tiny whisper.
And the more you honor it in the small things,
the more sacred, and obvious, it becomes in everything else.
With Love & Gratitude,
