The Invisible Cords We Must Cut to Truly Be Free

There are cords you cannot see—but you can feel them. My daughter Ava Moon and I speak of something called an Invisible String based on a book by Patrice Karst. In the story, a mother explains to her children that everyone has an invisible string made of love that connects them to the people they care about.

However, there are also chords that can be attached to people, places or things that can become as toxic as leaving pineapple uncovered in the fridge for four weeks.

This awareness of a toxic cord lives in the tightening of your chest when you hear a name. In the ache behind your eyes when you revisit old conversations and irritations. In the small, persistent voice that says, “You still owe them something.”

Freedom isn’t a decision made once. It’s a daily severance of every place we allowed ourselves to stay tied to a story that no longer fits who we are becoming.

Today, I want to talk about the invisible cords—the ones that don’t show up in photographs or text messages, but live in the energetic body, pulling, draining, and confusing us until we finally decide to reclaim our own field.

If you’re ready to reclaim your field then please read on…

I hope you enjoy reading this as much as I enjoyed jumping into my own private hell to figure it out. (Spoiler: It was worth it.)
