Step Into The Light Of Your Own Brilliance
Why it's so important to embody compliments & positive feedback
Who was the first person that ever acknowledged that you are a special? Or the first person that paid you a genuine compliment? That told you that you are talented, clever, beautiful or gifted? Or are you still waiting for those comforting words of confirmation?
Whether you've heard them or not (either recently, never ever or at least a very long time ago) I'm here to tell you this today:
You are brilliant.
May the light you have within you continue to shine brilliantly to raise the energetic frequency of yourself and your loved ones.
The notion of feeling brilliant is an interesting one to explore...
My parents visited me here in The Hamptons recently from Australia to celebrate my 44th birthday. It was my intention to be of service to them as much as possible during their stay. Each day I prepared most of the meals by myself and every time I presented them with a plate of food they said:
"You're so clever!"
And it was just basic stuff like eggs (which I don't eat), salad, bagels etc. Let’s be real here, I’m not a kitchen-based goddess by any stretch of the imagination.
However, each time my parents praised me it activated within me the old/ancient feelings of being a child that had achieved something noteworthy like learning to tie my laces, to ride a bike, or be able to count to 100. And yet, this super simple task of handing them a plate of food I had lovingly prepared elicited such an encouraging response.
"I don't know whether or not it's clever." I responded initially.
My ego sometimes like to downplay praise - which on a subtle level is an invitation from the Universe to rise above an emotional barrier.
"You are clever Sarah, you've always been brilliant." My mother responded.
My parents passed something so valuable down to me that I now want to share with you. When you believe in others and their abilities, then you open up your own energy field for brilliance.
But you have to be willing to not place a wall up when someone pays you a compliment. Why? Because this dims your brilliance.
Just say thank you.
The Universe is unable to flow through you if you block praise. It blocks your brilliance because you are unable to receive.
Believing you are brilliant is the first step to feeling worthy enough to follow your heart and create your dreams.
You are the Universe, the life-force extension of superconsiousness.
So one more time.
You are brilliant.
Now embody this and create something magic.
With Love & Gratitude,
Sarah Prout.
