This week's MANIFEST Q+A brought a recurring question from dozens of individuals across the globe, resonating deep within their hearts...
Can you manifest an ex back?
The straightforward and brief answer is, yes, perhaps.
The more complex and mildly aggravating answer is NO... pursuing such a course may not be the wisest decision UNTIL you engage in profound introspection to determine if your motives are aligned with your truest self.
Is this something you really want for the right reasons?
In this article, I extend an invitation for such introspection. If you're considering manifesting your ex back, ensure it’s not from a place of seeking safety, control, or validation from your former partner.
Sometimes chapters of our lives are supposed to be left in the past.
An ex-partner can embody a complex entity, capable of triggering intense emotional responses, awakening a need for love, and rekindling a yearning for a connection once shared. They can represent a default setting — a seemingly safe harbor previously associated with happiness, as opposed to the daunting realm of uncertainty that comes with seeking new love.
Over 15 years ago now I left a ten year marriage behind me.
I returned to my ex-husband at least eight times before I finally overcame my fear of letting him go. You just know in your heart when it's time to move on.
Although I never experienced what it was like to want to manifest him back into my life, I did want him to manifest certain traits so that we could co-parent our children together. I held my breath for many years waiting for him to change.
As a manifestation teacher I firmly believe you can manifest anything your heart desires, provided you're open and courageous.
However, when it comes to the free will of others and the paths they've karmically carved out for themselves, I am pretty sure that it is impossible to manipulate their vibration to align with yours and change a destined outcome.
You cannot change someone and make them show up in the way you need them to.
You simply can't.
You can only manifest a specific relationship if the container of the relationship is what your soul needs to flourish and grow.
We are beings of conscious expansion.
So here’s my advice…
Instead of focusing on how to manifest an ex back, I encourage you to ponder some powerful questions to discern whether reconnecting with a past love is truly what you want, rather than being open to new love…
1. Do I truly love this person for the right reasons, or am I driven by possession and the desire to avoid the pain of seeing them happy with someone else?
2. Can I release the past and forge a new future with this person? Can I communicate this vision to them effectively so they can fully support me and my desires?
(Hint: If they can't hear and support you, then it's not a suitable match.)
3. Can I envision myself blissfully in love with someone else, with whom I can grow old?
(Hint: Unless you address and take responsibility for your healing, you'll likely encounter the same issues with someone else. It recurs until you truly understand.)
4. Could I be content without my ex?
(Hint: If the answer is NO, then you have personal work to do because your happiness should never be solely dependent on another person.)
5. Do I feel like a failure because the relationship ended? Am I deluded into believing that getting my ex back means a chance for redemption and to finally 'get it right'?
6. What kind of love can I offer myself that would supplant the urge to pursue a bygone relationship?
7. Am I genuinely open to ALL possibilities?
(Hint: Embracing openness can accelerate the manifestation process.)
I hope this offers insight to those contemplating the possibility of reigniting a past romance. I'm not saying it’s impossible. I'm merely suggesting that it requires the right intentions and a profound love for oneself first, always.
Make sure you say this mantra daily to raise your vibration.
Affirmation: I am worthy of true love.
With Love & Gratitude,
Sarah Prout.
